MATT
FROST - PRESS RELEASE 6/09/2008
Matt Frost’s First Top 10 Hit
Matt Frost is wonderfully
excited to have his new single sitting in the Top 10 of the
Country Tracks Top 30 chart. This chart is Australia’s
leading country music chart, compiled from radio airplay of
tracks released in Australia. The single is currently sitting
at number 9, with a bullet, so all fingers are crossed that
it continues to climb the chart.
The single, Second Home
Town, is the second single released from his latest album All
That I Am. The song was written as a tribute to the small country
town of Gilgandra where Matt’s family originally came
from & where Matt spent his childhood holidays. It tells
the story of the town, it’s wonderful people and it’s
unique history.
The good news doesn’t
stop there! Matt was recently thrilled to learn that he is one
of the three finalists, Sharon Lane & Drew McAlister being
the other two finalists, in the Galston Country Music Festival
- Golden Saddle Awards. The Festival runs from the 12th to the
14th of September and Matt will be performing at the Awards
on the night of the 13th and on the main stage on the 14th.These
awards are open to all Independent Artists from NSW & Matt

Press Release – May 2008
Second
Home Town
Second single released from the album
“All That I Am”
May 6th 2008 will see the release of Matt’s
second single, from his album All That I Am, on NFS 122.
Still overwhelmed with the positive response
the first single, Get A Little Love, has received Matt is excited
and looking forward to the response to the second single release.
The single, Second Home Town, is the first
track on the album and is a song very close to Matt’s
heart. This original song penned by Matt is a tribute to the
small country town of Gilgandra where Matt spent a lot of time
when he was growing up. Matt’s mother, Margaret, was a
Collison before she married and her ancestors settled in Gilgandra
in the early 1800’s. All through his childhood Matt’s
school holidays were spent in “Gil” and there are
still family members living there today.
With a rich heritage, which includes the historic
Cooee March, Gilgandra - the windmill town - is perched on the
banks of the Castlereagh River, which flooded in 1955 causing
incredible, widespread damage to homes & businesses. Gilgandra
is a town Matt knows and loves and he shares his feelings for
the town, it’s history and it’s people with this
song.
Matt’s passion for the town and its people
is evident in the emotive lyrics of the song as it tells of
Matt’s long held, childhood dream of moving to the red
dirt town. The music the lyrics are set to is a catchy, toe
tapping rhythm that also has a sense of yearning to it. Second
Home Town reflects a feeling many of us have for that “Second
Home Town” in our past.

MATT FROST –All
That I Am
Update March 08
Since the December release of his new album ‘All That
I Am”, Central Coast based Country singer/songwriter Matt
Frost has been working at a pace a greyhound would be proud
of!
At the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January, the outstanding
quality of Matt’s new album was the talk of the festival
and this was reflected by album sales, not only to fans but
also to many radio presenters who attended the festival. Matt
is happily overwhelmed with the reception All That I Am, and
the first single “Get A Little Love”, have received.
February for Matt was a constant, hectic schedule of radio
interviews with presenters from around the nation. All have
praised the album, as a whole, and Matt’s remarkably honest,
insightful and heartfelt songwriting abilities. With still more
interviews booked for March, and the coming months, as well
as an appearance at the Central Coast Country Music Festival,
it looks like Matt may have to invest in a new pair of running
shoes to keep up with the demand for ‘a few minutes of
his time’. The race is on and Matt Frost is enjoying every
minute of it!!
ALL THAT I AM - ALBUM REVIEW Jan 08
First
single released from Matt's brand new album "ALL THAT I
AM"
GET
A LITTLE LOVE
single released to radio
december 2007 on nfs #119
Saturday 8th December was a big night for Matt
Frost and his dedicated fans!
After being away from the Country music scene
for a couple of years, due to his ongoing fight with cancer,
Matt was in his element in front of a packed house to launch
his new album, “All That I Am”.
On stage with Matt were Glenn Wilson (Drums),
Sean Rudd (Bass Guitar), Peter Cooper (Lead Guitar), Lachie
Davidson (Fiddle & Mandolin) & Warren Adams (Lead &
Rhythm Guitars).
The launch of “All That I Am” was
held at Wyong RSL and many thanks must go to Director/Manager
of the club, John Bartlett and his staff for the wonderful work
they did, not only on the night but also in the weeks leading
up to the event. The venue held a full capacity crowd, all of
whom were eagerly anticipating the release of Matt’s new
CD.
Matt was delighted to be joined on the night
by Natasha Munasinghe, a representative from the Australian
Cancer Research Foundation. The ACRF is a charity, which awards
grants to researchers who are working towards finding a cure
for this dreadful disease, which affects so many people. To
aid the ACRF in the very important work they do, Matt has decided
that $5.00 from the sale of every CD will go directly to the
ACRF. Matt presented Ms Munasinghe, in her role as the representative
from ACRF, with a commemorative plaque and they then cut a beautifully
decorated celebration cake.
If the album sales on the night were any indication,
Matt has a winner on his hands with this new release!
Matt’s brand new album “ALL THAT
I AM” will be available in store mid January but is available
NOW through Matts website www.mattfrost.com.au
Matt would like to take this opportunity to
thank everyone involved with the release of “All That
I Am” and especially the fans who shared the night with
him.
"It was so very
wonderful meeting you on Saturday night. Both Keri and I wanted
to say a special thanks for your wonderful generosity and kindness,
it really did touch us. I hope everything went splendidly well
for the remainder of the night and a fun night was had by all!!!!"
