MATT FROST is one tough cookie. Cancer reared its ugly head
in 2005 and tried to derail Matt’s promising music career,
but Matt has defied the odds and released his brand new CD All
That I Am.
His vocals are as strong and vibrant as ever and the songs
are upbeat and joyous. Combine that with amazing musicianship,
great production and bloody good songwriting and this is a very
special album.
Opening track Second Home Town sets
an upbeat theme. Don’t Take Me At All
has Irish roots, as does the memory blurring Whiskey
& Wine. Home sums
up Matt’s positive attitude with an inspirational optimistic
vent. You Can Run But You Can’t Hide
is a rocky number with attitude. I Ain’t Broke
closes the album with a fun duet with LACHIE DAVIDSON in real
bluegrass style.
It’s one of the best albums to cross my desk in 2007!

ALBUM REVIEWS
"Son
of a Gun" is Matt's debut album and he
has definitely got a winner here, with a good selection of songs,
a duet with Donella Plane, and just pure talent.
Recorded
by Herm Kovak, at Ramrod Studios and Chadwick Plane
at Littlefish Recording Studios, and mixed by Jeff McCormack,
at Beach House Recording Studios with a line up of country music's
top musicians.
I
really like Matt's selection on track (12) the Vince Gill
song "Go Rest High On That Mountain"
a powerful song that I'm sure will be one of those here that
will start Matt Frost on the road to stardom.
My
other stand out's are track (6) the wonderful duet with Donella
Plane, writtem by Chad Plane, "Live
Forever In This Dance Tonight", track (11) the
up tempo, toe tapping "Sold" and
track (1) "Son of a Gun".
Matt
Frost is a young man with a huge future ahead of him in
country music.

'Matt
wrote the album's title track, the pacey "Son of
a Gun", a song that is destined to become his
signature tune'.
'The
Pair shows just how well they work together on the lush, beautiful
"Live Forever In This Dance Tonight",
penned by Donella's husband Chad. It's a powerful,
emotionpacked ballad that the fans will adore'.

Bonjour
Matt,
Many thanks for your album which arived a couple of days ago.
Good music and good musicians. I enjoyed listening to you songs
particularly to tracks 1, 2, 11, 12. I'll be featuring them
in my radio show in the coming weeks. I'll review your album
later in the year in my Kanga Routes column of our country Music
Magazine "Le Cri du Coyote" and will mail you a copy
of the review as soon as it's published (probably in October
as it's issued every 2 months).
In the mean time Matt, I wish your album a big success.
Kind
regards

Many
thanks for sending us Matt's "Son Of A Gun" CD. It
sure doesn't sound like a debut album!
He
sounds so seasoned ... it's a great, radio-friendly set. We'll
be scheduling most of the tracks over time.
Cheers,
